    Worth knowing

Provincial top-ups are info only and are never applied to the Ontario math in this tool.

    Checking the latest verified offers…

Offers expire and vary by dealer, and advertised payments often assume specific trims, down payments and credit approval. Figures were verified against the linked pages on the dates shown. Anything older than 45 days is flagged so you can confirm it with the dealer before relying on it.

Every adjustable value has a slider for quick moves and a numeric field for exact entry. Type precisely, or drag freely. They stay in sync.

    Methodology

    How the math works

    1. Loans use the Canadian standard: nominal APR compounded monthly. Payment = P · r(1+r)n / ((1+r)n − 1).
    2. Ontario HST (13%) applies to vehicle price plus taxable fees (freight/PDI, A/C excise tax, tire levy, admin), minus trade-in. Licensing and registration is financed but never HST-taxed.
    3. The federal EV incentive is treated as an additional down payment: it lowers what you finance, but it does not reduce the HST base. Provincial incentives are shown for reference only.
    4. Buy vs lease costs both paths as owning the car outright at the end of the term, so the totals are directly comparable.
    5. Five-year ownership totals cash out (down payment, payments, fuel or charging, insurance, maintenance) and subtracts your equity: estimated resale at 48% of MSRP, minus any remaining loan balance.
    6. Affordability compares all-in monthly vehicle cost to gross monthly income. Many planners suggest keeping it under 15%.

Estimates only. This tool is not financial advice, and figures should be confirmed with the dealer and lender before you sign anything.
